Erica MacLeod is a British composer and sound designer based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

A graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Erica has studied under Grammy Award winning composer

Mason Bates, media composer and sound designer Marco d'Ambrosio and film composer and orchestrator John Ashton Thomas. During her time studying at SFCM, her work was selected to be recorded by Sony Playstation at Castle Studios, Nashville TN.

Erica has worked on numerous indie short films, most recently Red Sky at Night with director Ben Daly. She will be working with Daly again on his upcoming short Fever Dream.

A natural musician, sound has always been a fascination for MacLeod. This was first explored through piano, and during her teen years evolved into a passion for composition. During her time studying at SFCM, MacLeod became enthralled by the world of Sound Design and found every opportunity to become an expert at this new skill. She began work on an audio book of Kenneth Grahame's The Wind in the Willows, for which she recorded and edited dialogue, implemented sound design and composed music.

Aside from composing for media, Erica has a close collaborative relationship with soprano Naomi Columna, for whom she frequently creates art songs.
